Beginning in 2004, PencilBox has been collaborating with the U.S. Green Building Council on targeted communications to certain audiences. We began with chapter communications, creating an e-mail newsletter, Build Out, and an editorial calendar for content. We also created a companion e-mail newsletter for all members, Sustainabilities.
As an outgrowth of this engagement, we began working with the CEO, Rick Fedrizzi, on his GreenBuild conference keynote, creating the visual support and coordinating the speakers’ presentations. The keynote was a great success, and we continued to work with him on his communications initiatives.
Through both ongoing communications initiatives and outreach to new audiences, PencilBox works with the USGBC in an effort to see sustainable building practices become the norm for the built environment.
